I keep getting asked by Google for a review. I've never been to LYLO but I did drop my cousin off there a few weeks ago. I reckon if she was happy to stay there then it must be clean and have a good reputation.

A really great hostel. Check in was easy with a warm welcome despite my arriving around midnight. Rooms were clean with large card-access lockers and spacious, comfortable sleeping pods. There were nice communal spaces suitable for working and socialising.

A little bit on the pricey side for hostels but the rooftop kitchen and lounge area make it worth it for sure! Self checkin makes things very easy and the capsules are comfy but can feel a little stuffy even after you have the little fan turned on. My husband is 6ft so he had trouble being comfy in the capsules but I am 5'7" medium built and it worked for me! The kitchen is spacious with lots of utensils.

Fantastic experience! From check in to check out we couldn’t ask for a better stay. Staff were super helpful, we even got bumped to a private room instead of dorm. The room was beautifullly furnished, very clean and had everything we needed! Will definitely be booking again! Love that they do social get together throughout the week too!

Exceptional place to stay, chilled vibe,extremely clean, they use cotton sheets not polyester & White Fresh Cotton Towels. Staff are very friendly and hardworking to make sure everything is clean and meticulous With everyone having a great time. Extremely sociable management that get people involved and take them around the city and involved in trivia etc. Storage is great opposite your bed and card tap to lock up, it fits easily two overhead luggage bags and a shelf for for all of your personal belongings and is quite deep and long. Never thought anything like this I would find in the city so Central. You can just take a walk to the pub that's only across the road. Highly recommend and go another 100 m and you are on King Street which has exceptional breakfast at Kulchar-coffee.. Don't forget, Lylo place is fully equipped for cooking with every utensil you can imagine huge kitchen area, breezy open air. 3 Fridges tag your Bags. Very safe place. Lots of seating and is just an exceptional vibe. Happy hour! You can load your card, get two for the price of one if you love a drink of many types of beer. Free wifi. They have plenty of social gatherings and movie nights, painting you name it.

I initially stayed in Lylo for the first month I arrived in Brisbane and I'm glad I did, it's by far the best Hostel in the City even if it is a little pricey compared to others it's well worth the money if you want a clean,friendly and as 'private' as you can get in a hostel, pods are great for that and only 6 people in a room at a time makes it even nicer. I work FiFo now but whenever I come back to Brisbane it's my go to Hostel, it's perfectly located with a 5 minute walk to Fortitude Valley trainstation and 7 minutes to get into the 'valley' where all the pubs,clubs,restaurants and shops are. All of the staff are great, very friendly and happy to help you with whatever you need, Cavan the big ol' Geordie chap on the front desk was a good laugh, friendly guy who helped me out any time I needed it! All round great place to stay, would recommend it to anyone! See you again Lylo 🫡

I had a fantastic stay at LyLo Brisbane and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The location is absolutely spot on — everything from public transport to cafes, shops, and key attractions is literally a 2-minute walk away, which made getting around Brisbane incredibly easy. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and always happy to help, which really added to the overall experience. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The facilities are truly next level. The rooftop bar is a standout — great atmosphere, amazing views, and the perfect place to relax after a day out. The common areas are modern, well-designed, and very well maintained. My stay was extremely comfortable — the rooms were clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed for a great night’s sleep. Everything felt fresh, modern, and well organised. I would 100% recommend LyLo Brisbane to anyone visiting the city, whether for business or leisure. I’d definitely stay here again.
